Connect your own domain with your property for a more professional presence.

Availability

Custom Domains are only available in PRO and PREMIUM plans.

Add Domain

DNS Configuration

At Your Domain Provider

• Login at domain provider (e.g. Hostpoint, GoDaddy, Cloudflare)

• Go to DNS settings

• Add DNS entries (see above)

• Save changes

• Wait for propagation

Subdomain vs. Root Domain

Subdomain (www.your-domain.com):

• Recommended
• CNAME entry sufficient
• Works with all providers

Root Domain (your-domain.com):

• Requires A record or ALIAS/ANAME
• Not all providers support CNAME Flattening
• More complex to set up

Domain Status

Pending

• DNS not yet configured or not propagated
• Wait or check DNS entries

Active

• Domain verified and functional
• SSL certificate automatically activated

Error

• DNS configuration incorrect
• Check DNS entries again

Primary Domain

You can connect multiple domains with one property, but only set one as Primary.

Primary Domain:

• Main domain for property
• Other domains automatically redirect (301 Redirect)
• Preferred in search engines

Set:

• Click star icon at desired domain

• Domain is marked as Primary

• Other domains redirect to Primary

SSL/HTTPS

SSL certificates are automatically provided by Vercel:

• Let's Encrypt certificates
• Automatic renewal
• Activation after DNS propagation
• No manual configuration required

Remove Domain

• Click Delete at domain

• Confirm deletion

• Domain is removed from Vercel and database

Common Issues

Domain Remains Pending

Causes:

• DNS entries not yet propagated (wait 1-24h)
• DNS entries incorrectly configured
• TTL set too high

Solution:

• Check DNS entries at provider
• Test with DNS checker (e.g. whatsmydns.net)
• Click Refresh Status

Domain Shows Error

Causes:

• DNS entry incorrect (type, host or value)
• Domain already at another service
• Provider does not support CNAME Flattening (Root Domain)

Solution:

• Correct DNS entries
• Use subdomain instead of root domain
• Contact provider support

SSL Not Active

Causes:

• DNS not yet fully propagated
• Vercel is still activating certificate

Solution:

• Wait 1-2 hours
• Click Refresh Status
• Should activate automatically
