Stripe Connect

Receive payments directly via Stripe Connect

Stripe Connect allows you to receive payments directly from guests without Stayoa handling the funds.

Prerequisites

Before setup, you need:

  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Support Contact (Settings → Organization):
    • Support Email
    • Support Phone
Support Contact

The support contact appears on Stripe statements and is for guest inquiries.


Setup

Set up Stripe Connect

  • Go to SettingsPayments

  • Click Set up Stripe Connect

  • You will be redirected to Stripe

Complete onboarding

On Stripe:

  • Enter business information

  • Connect bank account

  • Verify identity

  • Provide tax information

Verification

After completion:

  • Status will be automatically updated
  • You will be redirected back to Stayoa
  • Status "Active" = ready for payments

Status

Active

  • Account fully activated
  • Payments possible
  • Payouts active

Pending

  • Onboarding in progress or under review
  • No payments possible

Incomplete

  • Missing information
  • Click "Finish Setup" to continue

Restricted

  • Compliance issue
  • Contact Stripe Support

Payment Flow

  • Guest books: Property page → "Book Now"

  • Payment: Stripe Checkout opens

  • Processing: Payment goes directly to your Stripe account

  • Confirmation: Booking is confirmed, emails sent

  • Payout: Automatically to your bank account

Important: Funds go directly to your Stripe account, not through Stayoa.


Fees

Stripe Fees:

  • ~1.4% + 0.25 CHF per transaction (Switzerland)
  • Automatically deducted by Stripe

Stayoa Fees:

  • No commission on bookings
  • 100% of booking amount belongs to you

Refunds

Refunds are charged from your Stripe account:

  • Go to Bookings → Select booking

  • Click Cancel Booking

  • System calculates refund according to cancellation policy

  • Stripe automatically refunds

  • Amount is charged from your account

Processing time: 5-10 business days until guest receives money.


Stripe Dashboard

Access your Stripe Express Dashboard:

  • SettingsPayments

  • Click Open Dashboard

  • Login link is generated

  • You will be redirected to Stripe Dashboard

In the dashboard you can see:

  • Transaction history
  • Payouts
  • Fee overview
  • Account settings

Payouts

Automatic:

  • Stripe transfers to your bank account
  • Schedule: Configurable in Stripe Dashboard
  • Default: Daily or weekly

Configuration:

  • Stripe Dashboard → Settings → Payouts
  • Change bank account
  • Adjust schedule

Troubleshooting

Setup fails

Cause: Support contact missing

Solution:

  • Go to Settings → Organization

  • Fill in Support Email and Phone

  • Save

  • Start Stripe setup again

Payments not possible

Cause: Status not "Active"

Solution:

  • Check status in Settings → Payments
  • If "Incomplete": Complete setup
  • If "Pending": Wait for Stripe verification

Payouts delayed

Cause: Stripe verification or bank account issue

Solution:

  • Open Stripe Dashboard
  • Check notifications
  • Submit additional documents if required
