The dashboard is where you run your accommodation business: open items, guest messages, calendar, bookings, payments and your property setup all live here.
Navigation
The sidebar on the left holds one entry per work area, in this order:
- Open Items: Your start page. Occupancy, revenue and next arrival at a glance, plus everything that needs your attention right now. The badge shows how many open items are waiting.
- Messages: Your guest inbox. Every conversation with a guest, in one thread per booking. The badge shows unread messages.
- Calendar: Availability across your properties — bookings, manual blocks and imported dates.
- Bookings: All booking requests and confirmed stays, with filters and booking detail pages.
- Guests: Your guest list with stay history, contact details and guest marketing tools.
- Payments: Incoming payments and payouts, with a detail page per payment.
- Properties: All your accommodations. When you're working on a single property, its siblings appear indented below this entry so you can hop between them, together with a shortcut to add a new one.
- Insights: Analytics, forecast and reports, combined in one page with three tabs.
Below the list you'll find two more entries:
- Team: Invite colleagues and give them access to individual properties. Only visible to account administrators.
- Settings: Account, workspace, billing, payouts and automation settings.
Your own profile sits at the very bottom of the sidebar — click your name to open your personal profile settings.
Use the small arrow next to the Stayoa logo to collapse the sidebar to icons only. Your choice is remembered on your next visit.
Switching between all properties and one property
Directly above the navigation sits the view switcher. It controls whether you're looking at your whole portfolio or at a single accommodation.
Open the switcher
Click the field labelled "View" at the top of the sidebar.
Choose a view
- All properties: Combined numbers across everything you manage.
- A single property: Everything you see is limited to that accommodation.
You can also add a new property straight from the bottom of this list.
Work in context
Pages such as Open Items, Bookings and Insights follow the selected view, so you can compare the whole portfolio and then zoom into one house without changing any filters manually.
If you only have access to individual properties, the switcher shows exactly those. The "All properties" option is reserved for account administrators.
Quick add and search
Press ⌘K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows) anywhere in the dashboard to open the command palette. You can also click the Quick add button in the sidebar or the search field in the header.
The palette lets you:
- Jump to a page: Start typing a page name — Bookings, Payments, Guests, Reports, Forecast, Settings — and hit Enter.
- Run a quick action: Create a new property, block dates, or export reports without navigating there first.
Press Esc to close it again.
The header
The bar across the top of every page contains:
- Breadcrumbs: Show where you are and let you step back to the previous level.
- Search: Opens the same command palette as the keyboard shortcut.
- Help: Shortcut to documentation and support.
- Notifications: New bookings, payments and other events.
- Your account menu: Profile, settings and sign out.
Autopilot status
Just above Team and Settings, the sidebar shows the current state of Autopilot — whether it's active (including how many actions it took today), paused, or not set up yet. Click the row to open the Autopilot settings.
On your phone
On small screens the sidebar is replaced by a tab bar at the bottom of the screen:
- Open Items, Messages and Calendar are always one tap away.
- More opens a sheet with the remaining areas — Bookings, Guests, Payments, Properties, Insights, Team (administrators only) and Settings — plus the Autopilot status row.
Status labels you'll see
