You can change your plan yourself at any time. Upgrades take effect as soon as they are paid, downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period.
Where to change your plan
Open the billing settings
Go to Settings → Billing & Plan.
Open the plan selector
Click Change plan next to your current plan. The three plans are shown side by side with their features; your current plan is marked as active.
Pick a plan
Click the button on the plan you want. Depending on whether it is higher or lower than your current plan, you will see either the upgrade or the downgrade confirmation.
If you do not have an active subscription, the plan selector takes you straight to checkout to create one. There is nothing to prorate in that case.
Upgrading
An upgrade is a move to a higher plan — Starter to Pro, for example.
What you see before you confirm
Before anything is charged, a confirmation window shows you:
- The features you are gaining with the new plan
- The prorated amount due now — you only pay for the remainder of the current billing period at the higher price, credited for what you already paid on the old plan
- The payment card the charge will go to
What happens when you confirm
You are taken to a secure checkout page for the prorated amount. Once the payment goes through, your new plan and all its features are active. If the calculation results in nothing being owed, the plan is switched immediately with no checkout step.
If a downgrade was scheduled and you upgrade before it takes effect, resolve the scheduled change first — see "Cancelling a scheduled downgrade" below.
Upgrading to Scale
Scale is a custom plan and cannot be booked in the plan selector. Clicking Scale opens the contact form so we can put an offer together with you.
Downgrading
A downgrade is a move to a lower plan — Pro to Starter, for example.
It takes effect at the end of the period
Downgrades are scheduled, never immediate. Nothing is charged and nothing is refunded at the moment you confirm. You keep your current plan and everything it includes until your renewal date, then the lower plan starts.
The confirmation window shows you exactly which features you will lose and the date the change becomes effective.
Cancelling a scheduled downgrade
While a downgrade is scheduled, a notice appears in Settings → Billing & Plan with the effective date and a button to cancel it. Cancel it and your current plan simply renews as before, as if you had never scheduled the change.
If you have more properties than the new plan allows
Downgrading never deletes your properties. If you are on Pro with four properties and move to Starter, all four remain in your account. What changes is that you cannot create a new property while you are at or above your plan's limit — you would have to be below the Starter limit before adding another one.
Features that the lower plan does not include stop being available as soon as the downgrade takes effect. Coming from Pro back to Starter, for example, this means custom domains, analytics, advanced SEO, AI features, guest campaigns and discount codes.
Check Settings → Billing & Plan → Usage to see how many properties and team members you have, and compare it against the limits in Plans & Pricing. If you are unsure how a downgrade affects your setup, contact support before the effective date — a scheduled downgrade can still be cancelled.
What you cannot change
- Downgrading to Scale is not possible — Scale is the highest plan, choose it via the upgrade path and the contact form
- Plan changes require an active subscription — if your subscription is cancelled or otherwise not active, you have to subscribe again before you can switch plans
Invoices, payment card and cancellation
The Manage button in Settings → Billing & Plan opens the secure billing portal. There you can:
- Update the payment card your subscription is charged to
- View and download your past invoices
- Manage your subscription, including cancelling it
If you only want to pay less, downgrade instead of cancelling — you keep your booking pages, calendar and guest data. Cancelling ends your subscription and with it your access to the paid features.
